Dr Nare Judy Masola is a Registered Counsellor and Lecturer at Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University. She currently coordinates the psychology departmental research and publication committee in the University.

Dr Masola serves as an examiner for national board examinations for Registered Counsellors at the Health Professional Council of South Africa. She has over 10 years tertiary undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research and supervision experience. She previously worked as a lecturer at the University of Limpopo and among others chaired the Forum of African Psychology Student Division (FAP-SD). She also served as an executive member of the Forum of African Psychology Limpopo branch. Her research work focuses primarily on African-centered psychology, culture and mental health, and medical psychology.

She joined SMU on the 4th August 2023.
