Prof Langalibalele Honey Mabuza is a family physician and an Associate Professor at the Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University (SMU). He joined the university in 2013.

He served in the Department of Family Medicine and Primary Health Care as Acting Head of Department (2017-2022), subsequently appointed as Clinical Educator Manager of the Clinical Integrated Programs in the Office of the Dean of the School of Medicine at SMU in August 2022 and currently the Head of Department of the newly established Department of Practice of Medicine and Clinical Integrated Programs (POME & CIP).

He is the Immediate Past President of the College of the Family Physicians of South Africa (2021-2024). He is the current Chairman of the School of Medicine Research Committee (SReC) and the Convener of the first Research Day Event of the School of Medicine (2025).
